Rio Rancho, NM - Pinball accessories manufacturer Mezel Mods announced its partnership today with 3D animation guru Dennis Summers. The company plans to leverage Summers extensive expertise in 3D animation, texturing, modeling and graphics on products for Stern's new 2016 titles.

"We are jazzed to have found Dennis- he has deep 3D modeling expertise combined with education in the fine arts. This makes him an ideal designer for hot new pinball accessories," said Kristin Browning-Mezel, Head Honcho at Mezel Mods. The team has already begun partnering with Summers on Stern's upcoming title, which has still to be released. "Some great new accessories are in the pipe for the next game!"

Summers recently relocated to New Mexico after leaving Detroit, where he did 3D animation for the auto industry. His firm Quantum Dance Works specializes in 3D animations for a variety of firms including GM, Ameritech and Society of Manufacturing Engineers. "3D printing is going to be huge in the future," said Summers. "I'm looking forward to extending my background in 3D animation into this exciting new field. Also, pinball machines are super fun."

As a savvy design expert, Summers was also part of the Art and Design faculty at University of Michigan and is the author of Texturing: Concepts and Techniques, 2004. He holds a Masters in Fine Arts from The Ohio State University.

Mezel Mods is a manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of accessories for new and classic pinball machines. Mezel Mods also benefits from its unique partnership with Stern Pinball to produce licensed products. The company uses 3D printing technology extensively, giving it the advantage of rapid product development and inexpensive, low volume manufacturing. Headquartered in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, the company sells online around the world at mezelmods.com.
